Welcome

 

The Taghkanic Chorale, under the baton of maestro Jason Tramm, is a group of avocational singers who love to make music together. We welcome singers of all ages, vocal ranges, and skill levels.

 

The Chorale performs two live concert programs each year, in Spring and Fall. Recordings of our Spring 2025 concerts "Modern Masters" on May 10-11 are included in Recent Concerts above.

At the Summer Sing on Thursday evening August 14, we welcome current and potential singers for a fun sing-along at First Presbyterian Church in Yorktown Heights.  We will preview selected choruses from Haydn's The Creation. Click on the Summer Sing tab for details.​​

The Fall concert "Rejoice and Sing! Choral Masterworks for the Season" features Handel's Dixit Dominos and the sixth cantata from Bach's Christmas Oratorio accompanied by a full contingent of professional musicians performing on period instruments. Concerts are on December 13-14, 2025. Rehearsals begin September 2 in Yorktown Heights. Check for details under the Fall 2025 Season tab.
