Bob Dennard, a long-time tenor and passionate board member of the Taghkanic Chorale passed away on April 23, 2024, at the age of 91. He was also a pioneering engineer and Research Fellow at IBM, inventing DRAM  and Dennard scaling, two innovations that underpin today’s computer technology.

In Bob’s memory, IBM has awarded a $10,000 grant to The Taghkanic Chorale. IBM announced the grant at a memorial service held on Friday, June 7th, 2024, at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights. The Chorale performed at the event in his honor.

 

The award will be used to support and enhance the Chorale’s 2024 concert season, including professional instrumentalists and guest vocalists.
